Remuneration of Government Boards

This site provides information about the remuneration and administration of Government Boards and Committees including:

  • the classification system for NT Government statutory boards;
  • details of the remuneration rates for NT Government statutory boards;
  • governance materials for board members; and
  • administrative guidelines for board administrators.

A "statutory body" is a body (whether incorporated or not) established by a law of the Territory for a public purpose. The Act governing how the remuneration and other entitlements of members of statutory bodies is set is the Assembly Members and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and Other Entitlements) Act. The current version of this Act can be found on the NT Government's Legislation Database.

For information and enquiries about the classification and remuneration levels for new and existing statutory and non-statutory bodies, please contact the Cabinet Office in the Department of the Chief Minister on telephone (08) 8999 6539.
