Back to Tenders Online
This guide will assist you in the use of the Northern Territory Governments Tenders Online Website. It is important that you read this guide carefully and if you have any questions or concerns please contact one of our offices.
To download Tenders, we require you to provide information about yourself. This enables us to provide further information regarding amendments or updates prior to Tenders closing. If you have forgotten your password contact us or create a new registration.
Tenders online provides tenders document in two formats, Portable Document Format (PDF) and Winzip. Both documents contain the same information. We recommend the downloading of the Zip file as you can not edit the PDF file. The Winzip file may contain Microsoft Word and Excel Documents, Tagged Image File (tif) or Portable Document Format (PDF).
eLodgement provides for a structured process offering a convenient alternative to paper-based lodgement. The technology involved however requires some different procedures.
Considerations:
The Northern Territory Government eLodgement system allows tenders to be invited and offers made by secure electronic transfer via our web site. Tenders lodged electronically will be processed with the same levels of security and confidentiality that are applied to tenders lodged by other means.
By submitting a tender through the eTendering system, the tenderer
accepts the NT Government conditions of lodgement.
The electronic lodgement system ensures that on completion and issue
of receipt, the tender is encrypted, securely stored and backed up,
receipted and made inaccessible prior to close of tenders.
Accessibility after close of tenders is similar to the paper tender opening process. The “Electronic Tender Box” containing the received tenders is “opened” through a controlled process which includes electronic decryption using secure “keys”.
Note: the eLodgement system does not place a limit on the total size of the files that can be transmitted. However large file sizes can take a long time to transmit and are more prone to corruption and failure for reasons beyond the control of the NT Government. Current NT Government Policy states that tenders must be received in full prior to the closing date and time, hence transmitting unnecessary information (particularly graphics) not required by the tender documents can be risky if this necessitates the lodgement of large files.
