Tier 3 - $10 000 to $50 000
All procurement activity within the above threshold will be sourced by government agencies through a minimum three quotation process rather than a formal tender process.
Agencies are to consult with the Northern Territory Industry Capability Network (NTICN) to obtain current lists of suppliers in the relative category of goods and services.
To ensure that local industry involvement is maximised, businesses are encouraged to register with NTICN if they wish to be considered for government work.
In addition, the threshold for works and services requiring Contractor Accreditation Limited (CAL) accreditation increases from $30 000 to $50 000.
Quotations will be assessed and evaluated in accordance with the Procurement Directions, which include value for money considerations, comprising a minimum mandatory 20% local development and value adding weighting pursuant to the Northern Territory Government's Buy Territory policy.
The Procurement Review Board will be provided with information of Tier 3 procurement activity by all Northern Territory Government agencies on a quarterly basis and all contracts awarded as a result of a quotation process will be published in the Northern Territory Government Gazette.
