The Northern Territory Government’s of Australia current Information Communication Technology (ICT) Sourcing contracts are due to expire mid 2010. The contracts are worth approximately $80million per annum.
To ensure the Government’s ICT is positioned to meet future requirements, it is undertaking a review of its sourcing model. This program will be managed by the Department of Business and Employment.
The sourcing program will cover the procurement of whole of government ICT services, including but not limited to telecommunication carrier services, data networks (WAN and LAN), voice communications (fixed and mobile), desktop services, messaging, video conferencing, help desk services, and internet services.
The consultation phase is well underway, all stakeholders including the ICT industry and associated bodies have been invited to attend briefing during September and the consultation paper response closed on 3 October 2008.
