The Employment Programs Unit co-ordinates the recruitment and sector wide induction on behalf of agencies and liaise as a partner throughout the recruitment process and management of the programs.
The Structured Employment Programs is an initiative of the Northern Territory Government to increase learning and employment opportunities particularly targeting young people.
These programs reaffirm the governments commitment to encouraging local jobs and industry through apprenticeships, to build a skilled resource group from which the NT Government and the NT community will benefit.
The activities undertaken by the Employment Programs Unit are underpinned by a commitment to strengthening the quality of learning partnerships within organisations, the provision of practical policies along with appropriate help and advice. This is demonstrated through delivery of practical services, strategies and tools which reflect the workforce development requirements for those employees in the early stages of their NT Government career.
