As an apprentice or trainee you must make every effort to acquire the skills and knowledge required to successfully complete the qualification.
Your work responsibilities include:
attending and performing work in a professional and courteous way
taking care of workplace property and resources
respecting the rights of others in the workplace
remembering that information obtained while in your employment must be kept confidential and not disclosed without approval.
Your training responsibilities include:
making all reasonable efforts to achieve the competencies in the training plan
undertaking any training and assessment required
attending training sessions or supervised workplace activities
maintaining a record of on and off-the-job training.
You must familiarise yourself with and understand the conditions of employment, the training agreement, the training plan and the National Code of Good Practice for Australian Apprenticeships. If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain the consent from your parent or guardian to enter a training contract.
