Northern Territory Economy - Defence

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) makes a significant contribution to the Territory’s population and economy. About 11% of Australia’s total permanent ADF personnel are stationed in the Territory, while more than 5% of total Defence expenditure occurs in the Territory.
