Workforce NT Report 2005

Welcome to the second edition of the Workforce NT Report.

The Workforce NT Report 2005 brings together new research data and industry intelligence to compliment and add to the information provided in the Workforce NT Report 2004. This data and information will further assist with the strategic targeting of employment and training programs for the future.

The 2005 report provides information on:

  • The Territory’s labour force participation and employment rates compared to Australia.
  • The industries Territorians are undertaking apprenticeships/traineeships in.
  • Labour force trends and the impacts on the NT workforce.
  • Economic activities for the regions and the impacts on employment.
  • Labour force information on Indigenous Territorians.
  • Skill shortages – which professions and trades are experiencing skill shortages in the NT.
  • Effects of major projects on the NT labour market.
