The Northern Territory Employment Strategy Discussion Starter is now available for comment.
The Department of Business and Employment is seeking the views of industry, businesses, unions, employees and the wider community into the development of the new strategy.
Within the Discussion Starter there are questions to assist in (but not limited to) guiding your thoughts and input into the development of the new strategy.
Your feedback is sought about employment and workforce development within the Northern Territory; especially input about the policies, programs and initiatives that may be incorporated within the strategy.
Part of the development of the strategy will take into consideration the ongoing needs for business, and will assist with the development of indigenous, disadvantage, and remote and regional regions with a focus on life learning pathways from school to work transition.
This also provides an opportunity to look at new innovative initiatives that will enhance current programs, and add to and create new opportunities for all Territorians.
Written responses to the Discussion Starter will be collated and incorporated into the Consultation Forums that are to be run in mid-to-late April at which your attendance and input will be highly valued. Dates are to be advertised.
