The Procurement Policy Unit is a branch within the Department of Business and Employment which administers the policies relating to Government procurement practices. The Unit provides information for both the Public and Private Sector on the tender and contract award process and procurement in general.
Key responsibilities
- establish and maintain relevant and appropriate policy pertaining to all government procurement
- compliance overview and audit
- establish and maintain strong relationships with industry bodies and suppliers to government
- development of training programs to enhance procurement practices by government
- provision of secretariat services to government procurement council
- custodian of all standard conditions of tendering and contract.
