In addition to other services offered by the Department of Business and Employment, Getting Started in Business focuses on attracting people who are interested in an overview and the steps involved in starting a business. The program is delivered through the Business Enterprise Centre (BEC).

The BEC offers free support and advice to those who want to start a business, expand a business or buy a business.
The BEC delivers Introduction to Small Business Workshops. These FREE, monthly workshops consist of five three-hour modules on Starting a Small Business, Business Structures & Tax, Marketing, Business Planning and Introduction to Bookkeeping.
