​This program is designed for businesses already operating successfully and which have identified strategic priorities through the Territory Business Growth - Overview Program or equivalent.

Participants should be able to benefit from a formal, structured business development plan and offer the potential for a selection of:

  • improved performance
  • market expansion
  • business expansion
  • increased employment 
  • possible export markets.

Purpose

The Territory Business Growth -  Shaping Your Future Program aims to provide a structured plan and timeline to enhance business performance by addressing strategic priorities, maximising strengths and addressing threats and weaknesses.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this category, a business generally should:

  • have operated for at least two years
  • be financially viable and a profitable, ongoing concern
  • have a turnover in excess of $300 000 per annum*
  • be Northern Territory based (preference given to Territory owned and operated)
  • have a genuine desire and capacity to enhance performance
  • be prepared to dedicate the required time and attention
  • have the resources to implement the program's recommendations.

NOTE: Preference will be given to those businesses that are unique, have potential to export or replace imports, can expand to create more employment opportunities, and/or are in target areas for growth in the Northern Territory.

Outcome

A structured plan for the ongoing improvement of the business.

The funding limit for this program is $10 000**
