The conditions of entry for 2012 are as follows:

  • The closing time and date for all nominations is 2.00 pm, Friday 11 May 2012. No nomination will be accepted after this date.
  • All nominees must complete a nomination form and answer all criteria personally. Nomination forms are available online or can be obtained by contacting the Nominations and Judging Award Coordinator on 0401 119 742 or email awards@grayconsulting.com.au
  • Nominees must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia, reside in the Northern Territory and meet all eligibility criteria.

Individual categories

  • A panel of judges will assess each written individual nomination to prepare a short list of finalists.
  • Shortlisted nominees must be available to attend the Residential Judging Weekend in Darwin on 23 to 25 June 2012. This may require taking leave from work, or study commitments for this weekend. Travel costs are covered for shortlisted individuals who do not normally reside in Darwin. Accommodation costs are covered for all shortlisted individual nominees.
  • Judges will interview short listed individual nominees in Darwin on 25 June 2012.
  • The interview will be scored. Based on total scores from the written nomination and the interview, the judges will select a winner and runner-up in each category.
  • Individuals can nominate or be nominated for one category only in any one year and can nominate again in future years, if eligible.
  • Nominees must not nominate or be nominated for any similar award in another state or territory in the same year.
  • All short listed nominees must be available to attend the NT Training Awards gala presentation dinner in Darwin on Saturday 15 September 2012. Travel and accommodation costs are covered for individual finalists who do not normally reside in Darwin.
  • Individual winners of the NT Training Awards indicated as 'National' must be available the week of 12 to 17 November 2012 to represent the Northern Territory and attend the Australian Training Awards finalist week in Melbourne.  This may require taking leave from work or study commitments for the week of the National awards. Travel and accommodation costs are covered for national individual finalists only.

Organisation categories

  • A panel of judges will assess each written individual nomination to prepare a shortlist of finalists.
  • Judges will conduct presentation interviews with representatives from each shortlisted organisation in June / July.
  • The judges will select a winner and a runner-up in each category.
  • Winners of Northern Territory organisational categories can nominate for the Australian Training Awards indicated as 'National'. Note: the original application from the winner addressing the criteria and submitted through the NT Training Awards process will be used.
  • All short listed nominees must be prepared to attend the NT Training Awards gala presentation dinner in Darwin on Saturday 15 September 2012.

General

  • Nominees must agree to abide by the decision of the judging panel, which is final and cannot be appealed.
  • All nominees will be advised of judging outcomes in writing.
  • All nominees will be invited to seek feedback on their application and interview (if shortlisted).
  • Nominations will be kept on file at the Department of Business and Employment.
  • All nominees must comply with the Department of Business and Employment standards in regard to training, workplace health and safety, and industrial relations matters. Consequently, Award Coordinators may refuse to proceed with a nomination at any time where an organisation or individual is under investigation by the Department of Business and Employment, or has any unresolved issues with the department.
  • Only authorised Award Coordinators and judges have access to nominee information and some or all of this information may be given to sponsors and media.
  • Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third party without your consent, unless authorised or required by law.
  • Finalists and winners must agree for their photographs and details to be used in promotion of the NT Training Awards by the Department of Business and Employment or their delegate.
  • Finalists and winners must be prepared to be involved in promotional events and activities if required.
  • The NT Training Awards collects information on the nomination form to assist with the organisation of the awards and it will not be used for any other purpose other than NT Training Awards and the Australian Training Awards.
  • Please ensure that documents submitted are smaller than 15 mb or compressed in size.​
