​The award is open to all students currently in Years 9 and 10. Students will require parental permission and the endorsement of their school principal to enter.

To be eligible, students must:

  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia
  • be enrolled in a Northern Territory Government or non-government school
  • be in Year 9 or 10 at the time of application
  • hold a valid passport with six months validity at the date of travel, or have the ability to obtain a passport
  • be able to sustain themselves physically and emotionally for the duration of the study tour, including having the ability to engage in extensive travel, and self-manage a healthy diet.
