The Territory's education system provides high-quality choices from preschool to tertiary level in line with nationally recognised standards. Student-teacher ratios are among the lowest in Australia and the Territory's diverse population, including the high number of Indigenous students, provides a stimulating learning environment.
A range of tertiary courses, vocational education and training is available throughout the Northern Territory, including Charles Darwin University, Yirara College and the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education. In addition to these institutions, there are about 60 private training organisations registered in the Territory. For further information, visit Australia's Northern Territory website.
