The inaugural Charles Darwin Research and Innovation Medals have been presented to four people.
The medals represent significant and lifelong contributions of individuals to the economic, social and environmental development of the Territory and its people.
Nobel Prize winner and former Australian of the Year, Laureate Professor Peter Doherty presented the medals at the Charles Darwin Symposium Dinner.
The Department of Business and Employment congratulates Dr Alan Andersen, Mrs Lorna Fejo, Dr Goff Letts and Dr Peter Whitehead as the inaugural recipients of the medal.
