Indigenous Apprenticeships
Indigenous employment is a high priority for this department. This is reflected in the initiatives we have in place to improve employment outcomes for Indigenous Territorians across the department. After winning a commendation in the Commissioner for Public Employment's 2007 Equity Awards we have further developed mechanisms geared to employ and retain Indigenous people within DRDPIFR. We are confident that our Indigenous apprenticeship program supported by our culturally appropriate mentoring program will help you achieve success in your chosen apprenticeship.

- Aquaculture – Darwin Aquaculture Centre, Fisheries
- Agriculture – Katherine Research Station and Douglas Daly Research Farm (2 Apprenticeships are on offer)
- Business – Regional Development, Darwin
