The latest commodity data, economic forecasts and research results for the central Australian region will be presented at the ABARE Regional Outlook conference in Alice Springs later this month.
With recent global economic turmoil, this is a chance for interested people to get informed about what the future may hold and how they can manage the challenges ahead.
The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) conference has four sessions and features 12 speakers, talking on topics directly related to the region as well as ABARE’s latest forecasts and market assessments.
The Department of Regional Development, Primary Industry, Fisheries and Resources is a co-organiser of the event and its CEO, John Carroll, will Chair the Overview session at the conference opening on October 29th.
Speakers at the conference include, ABARE’s Phillip Glyde on the road ahead for commodities, Tony Pearson from ANZ bank on a banker’s perspective on interest rates; Sam Cleland from the Bureau of Meteorology and Megha Raut from DRDPIFR on a region with potential – outlook for the NT economy and industry.
The ABARE conference is held every two years in Alice Springs and is a chance to meet new contacts, discuss industry trends and gather new information to help shape your future.
