The Barkly Region covers 283,606 square kilometres, some 21% of the Northern Territory. It covers the Tablelands, Alpurrurulam, Elliott District, Tennant Creek Town and Tennant Creek Balance statistical areas. [more]

Darwin Region is located in the tropical north-west of the Northern Territory and is the most densely populated region in the NT. It covers an area of 10 262 square kilometres, 7.6% of the NT. The East Arnhem Region covers 38,434 square kilometres, some 3% of the Northern Territory. It encompasses the East Arnhem Statistical Subdivision including Groote Eylandt, and is centred on the town of Nhulunbuy. [more]

Katherine is a modern, self-contained community and it continues to experience a strong population growth. Katherine Region has grown by more than 60 percent since 1988. This is attributed to the establishment of RAAF Base Tindal and the ongoing development of several industries such as Tourism, Mining and Horticulture. [more]
