This Strategy is a living document. It will continue to evolve over time as Aboriginal people make informed choices about their contribution to economic development in the Northern Territory.
It will also continue to evolve as collaborations and partnerships with government and the private sector develop new and innovative approaches, or consolidate and expand existing approaches, to employment creation and wealth generation.
This Strategy does not intend to be an operational plan or control document for the implementation of the Strategy. That task will flow from this Strategy and be an iterative process led by the Indigenous Economic Development Taskforce, representing all key stakeholders. This will require commitment and ongoing partnership between government, Indigenous people, and the private sector.
This Strategy complements a range of NT developmental government strategies1, and will respond to the priorities identified within regional development plans.
