Come Rain, Come Shine: Sustainable Development and the Challenges of the 21stC

What changes will the Territory face in the years ahead? The Department of Regional Development, Primary Industry, Fisheries and Resources held a science forum in Katherine on the 3rd of October 2007. Scientists from the department’s agricultural and fisheries research groups discussed the impact of changes such as climate change and demographics, and our mining officer addressed the department’s abilities to manage the environmental impacts of mining, while benefiting from the increased demands for NT resources.
