Applicants will be required to provide proof of their identity, such as a driver’s licence, passport or birth certificate. Applications for Personal Information require a higher standard of proof of identity than for Government Information. This means that applications for Personal Information that are submitted by post may not be accepted unless the Department is able to be completely confident of your identity.
You have the right to seek correction of any Personal Information that you believe is incorrect, incomplete or out-of-date. Where it is not possible to correct the information, or RDPIFR does not accept the information is incorrect, you are able to request that a clarifying statement be placed with the information. [
