Chlamydial Disease in Farmed Crocodiles
The presentation will detail the diagnostic laboratory investigation and epidemiological survey of a serious infectious disease which has been found on four of the five Territory crocodile farms this year. Ian Jerrett will describe the pathology of the disease and tests conducted at Berrimah and interstate laboratories to achieve a diagnosis.
Francois Human will then present the findings of an epidemiological survey of affected properties and will discuss current knowledge of the epidemiology of chlamydial infection gained from studies in other species.
