Notifiable Diseases of Livestock in the NT

A number of animal diseases including all Emergency Animal Diseases (EADs) are notifiable under NT legislation.
This means that there is a legal obligation for livestock owners, managers, agents and veterinarians to notify the department if they suspect or know that an animal has one of these diseases.
By remaining vigilant and notifying as soon as you suspect a notifiable disease, you can play a vital role in protecting livestock industries and preventing disease spread to other animals and possibly to humans.
