Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations

The Northern Territory Government has committed $2.4 million over three years to increase the intensity of exploration drilling and geophysics in greenfields areas of the Northern Territory.

This brings the Government’s investment in the “Bringing Forward Discovery” initiative to $14.4 million over four years, designed to attract new exploration investment and bring forward the next generation of major resource discoveries in the Territory.

This Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations program co-funds selected exploration drilling and geophysical acquisition projects in greenfields areas where there is a paucity of geological information.

The call for submissions for the second round of funding for the 2009-2010 financial year is now closed. No further applications for this round will be accepted.
