The Territory’s premier exploration event

AGES 2015 will be open for registration on 1 December 2014.

Sponsorship opportunities for AGES 2015 are now availalble here.

The Territory continues to offer outstanding opportunities for both minerals and petroleum explorers. Major investment in new geoscience data from the Northern Territory Geological Survey and its partners under the Creating Opportunities for Resource Exploration (CORE) initiative, is providing exciting insights into the untapped potential of under-explored areas in the Territory.

Join us in Alice Springs 17-18 March 2015 for the 16th Annual Geoscience Exploration Seminar (AGES), where a mix of NTGS and industry presentations will showcase the rich minerals and petroleum potential of the Northern Territory. AGES is a technical conference that presents a unique opportunity for you to access the latest in fresh exploration ideas and geoscientific data from the Territory and to network with colleagues who share an interest in the discovery and development of the Territory’s minerals and oil and gas resources.

Seminar highlights

AGES presents new geoscience from the Northern Territory Geological Survey and its partners, along with technical presentations from industry on recent exploration highlights and new discoveries in the Territory. Highlights of AGES2015 will include:

  • first release of new information on the geological framework of the East Arnhem region from NTGS’s recent work
  • release of the first stage of the McArthur Basin 3D model focussing on the architecture of the Roper Group
  • latest technical updates on successful exploration programs and new discoveries from across the Territory for copper, zinc, uranium, oil and gas and more
  • the latest in new geoscience and exploration concepts from the Arunta Region and Amadeus Basin
  • practical information to assist you with issues such as land access, titles and accessing geoscience data.
  • the AGES dinner – the premier networking and social event for the NT exploration industry

As the Northern Territory’s premier exploration event, AGES offers an opportunity to network with a wide range of other explorers in the Territory. More than 220 people attended the event in 2014.

AGES also incorporates the Mining Services Expo – a showcase of Northern Territory businesses and their capabilities to support your exploration and mining ventures
