Coordinated Marine Pest Monitoring by Remote Coastal Communities

In January 2007, Aquatic Biosecurity commenced a Natural Heritage Trust (NHT) funded project titled Coordinated Marine Pest Monitoring by Remote Coastal Communities.

The Project had engaged Indigenous Marine Rangers located around the NT Coastline in marine pest monitoring, and provided them with training so that they in turn can educate their local community members, including stakeholders, in marine pest issues and basic monitoring methods. [read more]
