How do I report an Aquatic Pest? 

It is important that invasive pests are discovered early on to ensure the best possible chance of their eradication or control. If you notice:

• unusual aquatic life;
• aquatic life in unnaturally high numbers;
• unusual or unrecognisable marine and freshwater fish or plants; or
• any marine or freshwater pest species listed on this website

If possible, collect a sample of the suspected pest, note down where it was collected, take a good quality photograph and store in a freezer for later identification. Then report your sighting to Aquatic Biosecurity.
