Message from the Chief Minister

It gives me great pleasure to invite nominations for the 2009 Chief Minister’s Awards for Excellence in the Public Sector and the inaugural Chief Minister’s Public Sector Medal.

These prestigious awards are the Northern Territory Government’s centrepiece for showcasing the exceptional talent and energy we are fortunate to have in the Northern Territory Public Sector.

They are designed to recognise the best and brightest initiatives that really make a difference to public sector administration and to the broader Territory, and high achievers who go well above and beyond the call of duty.

This is an opportunity for Northern Territory Public Sector work teams and individuals to be recognised and rewarded for continuous improvement, innovation, outstanding performance and extraordinary results.

I encourage agencies across the public sector to showcase their achievements and recognise employee excellence by nominating for these awards.

I look forward to announcing the Awards winners and Medal recipients later this year at a special celebratory event.
