In this paper we discuss what our regional
governance structure looks like today, what have been our
main challenges and the kind of complexities we have encountered
through the different models that have been proposed for regional
governance in the Torres Strait. |
We also discuss the progress made in building
and sustaining our capacity for strong governance for Torres
Strait Islanders. We conclude by highlighting what we have
learnt through this process, which is giving our communities
the opportunity to have their say in regional governance in
the Torres Strait. |
