Northern Territory Research and Innovation Board Scholarships

Each year the NT Research and Innovation Board awards up to four scholarships to post-graduate students currently undertaking research that will benefit the Territory.

The Northern Territory Research and Innovation Board Post-Graduate Scholarship

The Northern Territory Research and Innovation Board Post-Graduate Scholarship is an annual award intended to assist students enrolled in a post-graduate degree and undertaking research that is aligned to the Northern Territory Government’s Research Priorities

To be considered for a scholarship the research being undertaken must have the potential to provide economic, social and environmental benefits to the Territory.

For example the research may:

• Help build strong communities that enable families and individuals to lead productive and fulfilling lives.
• Maximise sustainable economic growth and capacity in the Northern Territory.
• Transform the way we use and understand our land, water, mineral and energy resources.

Applications may be submitted to the Executive Officer at any time but will be considered by the Board at its September Board Meeting. The closing date for applications is 28 August 2009. Scholarships will be paid on or before 30 November 2009.
