About Transact NT

Transact:NT is the Northern Territory Government's single point of service for Business to Government on-line transactions. Transact:NT currently provides simple on-line submissible forms for business name renewals, tobacco retail licences, applications for interstate trade lotteries, permits for fossicking in the NT and applications for special liquor licences.

This on-line service delivery channel will be progressively extended to include a number of business licences permits and registrations and will include options to pay fees and charges on-line.

In a future development phase Transact:NT will provide a Territory Business Register (TBR) - an online repository of information about businesses that choose to engage with the NT Government electronically.

It will provide a means for business users to authenticate (identify) themselves either online or via the phone to access NTG Online services and will assist in reducing red tape and help businesses do business in the Territory.

It is similar in concept to the registration systems maintained by banks that provide online banking services and will help provide a more personalised service to business clients.
