Why register at the TBR?

The Territory Business Register is a register for businesses to conduct on-line transactions with the NT Government.

The application will need to be printed, signed by a person with legal authority from the business and faxed to the Territory Business Centre on Fax Number: (08) 8982 1725

Once approved this will create an account for a Principal User (representative) of the business who can then login and create additional users as necessary.

What is the Territory Business Register?

The Territory Business Register (TBR) is an online repository of information about businesses that choose to engage with the Northern Territory Government electronically.

The TBR is the NT Government's Online Client Identification system, and while the focus is on business clients, other clients such as Incorporated Associations and in some instances individuals are also included.

It will provide a means for business users to authenticate (identify) themselves either online or via the phone to access Northern Territory Government Online services and will assist in reducing red tape and help businesses do business in the Territory.

It is similar in concept to the registration systems maintained by banks that provide online banking services.

The TBR will form the centrepiece of the Northern Territory Government's e-Business Service Delivery Channel TRANSACT:NT, for business related online transactions, primarily licences and permits.
