Architectural Practice Exams

Exam Dates

On behalf of the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA), the Northern Territory Architects Board conducts Architectural Practice Examinations (APE) each year in Darwin and Alice Springs. Exams are held on the first Tuesday in April and September. Applications close approximately 4-5 weeks earlier.

Application Requirements

Exam information, guides and resources are available from the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA) web site. Research of this site is recommended prior to submitting an application and should be checked for any updates on log book and application requirements.

 

To register for an exam, you will need to provide the following:

Exam Fee Part 1 & 2 of $400	download form
AACA APE Application Form Part 1 & 2	download form
Statutory Declaration	available from the Department of Justice
AACA Log Book Identification Form	download form
Completed Log Book (cost $60)   **	download form

 

** NOTE: From 1 January 2009 an electronic log book will be available on the AACA website at nil cost.  Hard copies are still available although electronic lodgement is encouraged.
