The Office of the Administrator uses a selection of templated forms to assist organisations that are hosting the Administrator of the Northern Territory and to facilitate its own administration.

Protocol Guidelines
Protocol Guidelines are designed to assist organisations in hosting a visit by the Administrator of the Northern Territory. Topics include the role of the host, forms of address, taking photographs and seating arrangements.

Attending Events
If your organisation would like to invite the Administrator of the Northern Territory to attend or to officiate at an event, please submit either a formal invitation or a letter of request as early as practical. It is important for organisations to be aware that the role of the Administrator is such that on occasions there are unavoidable cancellations to official engagements that have previously been accepted.

Comprehensive information is required to brief the Administrator of the Northern Territory prior to attending an event arranged by your organisation. The information in the “Attendance” form is also used to assist your organisation in meeting protocol requirements for the Administrator.

Guide to Speeches
The Administrator of the Northern Territory will speak at functions by prior agreement only. Short notice requests (less than three weeks) will not be accepted. The Administrator uses a lectern for formal speaking engagements and a fixed microphone should be provided where necessary.

The host organisation is required to complete the Guide to Speeches form to assist timely preparation of the Administrator’s speech. The completed form should contain relevant information for the speech to meet the needs of the occasion and not duplicate the content of other speakers.
