Government House is the official residence of the Administrator of the Northern Territory. Government House is therefore not a venue available to hire.

On occasions, the Administrator may host functions at Government House for community initiatives that clearly demonstrate significant outcomes for Territorians.

The Administrator does not host corporate events, sponsorship events, fundraising events and weddings at Government House.

All functions hosted by the Administrator must meet strict Government House timelines and protocols. Each event is therefore subject to approval by the Official Secretary to the Administrator of the Northern Territory.

If your organisation would like the Administrator to host a function at Government House, please submit a letter of request to the Administrator no later than three months prior to the proposed function date.

The letter of request should include:

• Reason for the function
• Number of intended invitees
• Three preferred dates
