AAPA Costs Associated with Authority Certificates

ABORIGINAL AREAS PROTECTION AUTHORITY COSTS RECOVERY SCHEDULE FOR AN AUTHORITY CERTIFICATE * (to be read in conjunction with the OUTLINE OF FEE SYSTEM)

CONSULTANT/ RESEARCHER FEE: (This covers background research, travel, consultation, report writing & certificate drafting)	700	770	per day depending on qualifications & experience
ABORIGINAL CUSTODIAN CONSULTATION FEE: (It is usual for a number of custodians to be involved in consultations).	135.00 70.00	148.50 77.00	per day per custodian per ½ day per custodian

Costs associated with Authority Certificate vary according to the size of the project, the number of Aboriginal custodians/groups involved and the distance from Darwin or Alice Springs. A large project may attract a much larger fee.
