Membership of the Authority

The Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority is constituted by five male and five female Aboriginal custodians of sites nominated by the Northern Territory Aboriginal Land Councils together with two Government appointees.

Members are appointed by the Administrator of the Northern Territory for 3 year terms and may be reappointed.

Roy Hammer is the Chairman of Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority.
Milly Milliwanga is the Deputy Chairman of Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority.
